Terms of service
Plain terms for a small, free product. Read them before you rely on Tiny Accounts for anything that matters to your business.
1. Who you are contracting with
Tiny Accounts is operated by [PLACEHOLDER - registered legal entity name], [PLACEHOLDER - registered address], company number [PLACEHOLDER - company registration number]. Contact: [PLACEHOLDER - support contact email]. By creating an account — including a guest account — you accept these terms.
2. What the service is
Tiny Accounts lets you record income and expenses, set recurring entries, produce PDF invoices, view simple insights and export your records as CSV. That is the whole product.
3. What it is not
Tiny Accounts is a record-keeping tool, not an accountant, bookkeeper or tax adviser. Nothing in the app, its exports or its invoices is accounting, tax or legal advice. Tax rates you enter, totals it calculates and reports it produces are your figures — check them before filing anything or sending an invoice to a client. You remain responsible for complying with the invoicing, bookkeeping and tax rules that apply to you.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Tiny Accounts.
- Keep your password to yourself. Your session token is stored in your browser, so anyone with access to it can reach your data.
- Guest accounts are real accounts with a generated address. If you lose the browser session without adding an email and password, that data cannot be recovered — by you or by us.
- One person or business per account. Do not share logins.
5. Price
The service is currently free. There is no paid tier, no trial that converts, and no card details are collected anywhere in the product. If a paid plan is ever introduced, it will be announced in advance, existing data will stay exportable, and no charge will be made without a separate, explicit agreement from you. See the refunds page.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use the service to create false, fraudulent or misleading invoices or records;
- upload content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to use;
- attempt to access another account, probe the database directly, or circumvent the limits of the API;
- automate the service in a way that degrades it for other people (bulk account creation, scripted request floods).
Accounts that do these things may be suspended or deleted without notice. Good-faith security research is welcome — report it to [PLACEHOLDER - support contact email] first.
7. Your content
Your records stay yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display them so the service works for you. We claim no ownership of your invoices, figures or client details.
8. Availability
The service is provided as it is, with no uptime guarantee. It may be unavailable for maintenance, because a hosting provider has an outage, or because a feature is being changed. Export your records regularly — the CSV and PDF exports exist for exactly this reason.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account from the account menu; that erases your records immediately. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or discontinue the service entirely, with reasonable notice where possible.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, missed filings, penalties, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Changes
These terms may change as the product does. The date at the top of this page shows the last substantive change; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER - governing jurisdiction], and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
